PAYMENT
A $200 non-refundable booking fee is required in order to reserve your session. Your session is not reserved until the funds are received. This fee will be deducted from the final cost of your session/package. Your remaining balance is due on the date of your session and can be paid by cash, check/ACH, credit card, Chase QuickPay, Zelle or Paypal. Returned checks are subject to a $50 returned check fee. Client(s) will be responsible for any and all collection costs and legal fees incurred by Elissa Rae Photography & Design.
RESCHEDULING
If you need to reschedule with less than 48 hours notice, you forfeit your whole booking fee and may not reschedule without paying a new fee. Rescheduling may occur to save your booking fee, if you give at least 48 hours notice and the session is rescheduled within 4 weeks of the original reserved date. OR if there is a family emergency or serious illness. I cannot always guarantee an available date 4 weeks out but will try my best to accommodate your situation and give you the first available slot. Should the photographer need to reschedule due to a family emergency or illness, the deposit will be fully transferable/refundable to the client. If you are scheduled for an outdoor session and there is inclement weather, a new session date will be offered to you. For this situation, you will have 90 days to reschedule. If any hardware problems arise, loss related to technological failure, including data loss should occur a new session will be scheduled at the earliest available slot.
LOCATIONS & PERMISSIONS
It is the client’s responsibility to schedule and receive permission to use their desired locations for any session that is not owned by the client. Some public properties have photographic restrictions and it is the client’s responsibility to report results before session.
TRAVEL
Additional travel is available for $2 per mile from 60714 to account for photographers time and expenses. All travel is charged in round trip rates. See Services for more information on each and contact me with any questions.
ILLNESS / SICK POLICY
If you or your child is sick, you MUST reschedule your session. This policy is very important for the health of all the clients I photograph, especially the newborns. Please contact me immediately if you think you or your child is coming down with something. Likewise, if myself or someone in my household has potentially contracted an illness, I will contact you immediately to make other arrangements. You may be offered a new date, or if time is essential, I can help refer you to another local photographer. COVID UPDATE: If you have been ill within the 14 days before your session please contact me immediately. The health and safety of all my clients is my first priority. ALL Sessions must follow current guidelines for social distancing. I will be wearing a mask during all indoor sessions, outdoors will be on request. Please check my site or contact me about other current changes or restrictions due to COVID.
SESSION REQUESTS
Elissa Rae Photography & Design strives to create lasting memories for your family but is under no obligation to capture any specific moment or pose or person(s) during the session. If you have ideas or inspiration, I will gladly review and try to incorporate those visions into my own personal style but this will never include copying another artists work. Personal photos or video are not allowed during your session for any reason. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Elissa Rae Photography & Design for any liability or damage. Client(s) will be responsible for themselves and their children and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.
CREATIVE LICENSE
Images taken by Elissa Rae Photography & Design are edited at their discretion. Delivered proofs may not include all captured photographs. Elissa Rae Photography & Design reserves the right to edit and release only those images deemed creditable as professional in quality and artistic standard. Elissa Rae Photography & Design will strive to present photos in a professional manner but is not required to cater to specific aesthetic preferences of clients. To maintain my brand and reputation, I do not sell unedited images or RAW files under any circumstances.
SELECTION OF IMAGES
You get to choose your photos! You will be given an online, password-protected, proof gallery to make your selections.
DELIVERY OF IMAGES
I love to post previews within 48 hours of sessions on social media. If you have opted out of online postings, no preview will be shown. Your proof gallery will be ready for viewing within 7 days of your session. Family and milestones sessions will be given 10 days to review proofs. If you do not choose within the timeframe given, photographer is entitled to choose your images for you. This is very important to maintain workflow and avoid backlogs and bottlenecks for other clients. Without these deadlines, I seem to get this mysterious influx of 3 months worth of orders right before certain holidays! :) This ensures everyones images are delivered in a timely manner and receive the attention they deserve. Your final retouched gallery will be available 14 days after you make your selections. Elissa Rae Photography & Design is not required to maintain copies of the photos 60 days after the photos have been posted to the final gallery. Please download your images promptly and store in a safe place.
RUSH ORDERS
Rush orders are accepted when schedule allows. Rush fee is $100. Rush orders will receive proofs in 1-2 days and final retouched images 3-5 days from selection.
PRINT ORDERS
No prints are included in your package but can be added to any order. You will be able to order professional prints directing from your final gallery! Clients will be charged IL Sales Tax.
MODEL RELEASE
In order to showcase my talents and portfolio as a photographer, I use session images for the promotion of Elissa Rae Photography & Design. The images produced from your session may be used on Elissa Rae Photography & Design’s Website/Facebook/Instagram pages and in promotional work such as special offers, flyers, business cards. Your name or information will never be used in connection with these images unless you specifically ask/give permission for a social media tag or you tag yourself in them. Should you wish your images to remain private, you may opt out of the model release.
COPYRIGHT
All photographs are property of Elissa Rae Photography & Design and copyright protected. It is a violation of federal copyright law to filter/alter or reproduce work created by Elissa Rae Photography & Design without written authorization. It is illegal to copy, screenshot, scan, download, print or otherwise steal ANY images created by Elissa Rae Photography & Design from any online gallery. This applies to “preview” images, "proof" galleries, blog, Facebook, or hard copy images. If client steals images client will be invoiced for the cost of EACH digital image client has stolen, at photographer’s current price per digital file.
You ARE encouraged to "share" images directly from my pages! This includes social media previews or your final gallery using the “share” buttons provided on your galleries. You can even make preview photos your profile pictures and cover photos when you maintain the integrity of the image AND watermark. If you have any questions about the policy or are unsure if something is allowed to be shared just ask! I’d be happy to clarify. Once you have downloaded your final retouched gallery, you may share, distribute and print those final images as you wish. As a courtesy and respect for the art, I would appreciate if you remember to tag me/check-in when posting my work to social media. Thank you!
